One week of YouTube-channel tips for Instagram + Facebook (DRAFT for Ty)

Status: DRAFT. Nothing is built, scheduled or posted. Prepared Nov 5, 2026. Source: the YouTube Q&A video Ty shared (https://youtu.be/lA_Z3IyBe_8). Internal only. Ty's hard rule applies to every public piece: no quotes, no name, no credit. Ideas only, rewritten in WNS words with our own labelled examples. No line below copies the speaker's wording, catchphrases or examples (his golf, firearms, investor and barber examples are not used). How we got it: captions returned HTTP 429, so the one fallback was an audio-only download, transcribed locally with faster-whisper large-v3. Two YouTube requests in total. Rules applied: SV-A02, SV-B01, SV-B05, SV-C01, SV-C02, SV-C03, SV-E07, SV-E08, SV-F02, YT-B01, YT-C02, YT-C03, YT-C04, YT-C07, YT-F06, plus the content-plan rules (labelled examples, one tagged link, 2 hashtags, no AI in videos Ty appears in).

1. Extracted insights (our words)

Minute marks are for internal reference only. Most of the video is YouTube advice (2:49-14:38, 20:33-21:32, 22:52-25:35); the rest is off-topic.

# Insight (WNS wording) Source min (internal)
I1 A small channel is no excuse for careless packaging. Each new video is judged on its own thumbnail, title and first seconds, so give every one your best shot. 03:40-04:08
I2 A thumbnail has one job: make a scrolling person stop. It needs something that gets a double-take, not a nice-looking picture. 04:23-04:51
I3 A question on a thumbnail ("Are you doing this wrong?") makes viewers guess, and people who can't answer it scroll past. Show the specific thing instead. 04:54-05:13
I4 Start from the result your viewer wants, not the topic you feel like covering. Your taste isn't your viewer's taste. 05:18-06:50
I5 Give the idea some tension: a contrast (A vs. B), a surprise, or a common belief turned around. One is enough. It has to be true and the video has to pay it off. 07:05-07:29
I6 Check your thumbnail at phone size. Few, thick, high-contrast words; nothing thin, nothing that blends into the background. 07:31-07:52
I7 Be specific about the situation and the numbers. A precise promise tells the right viewer "this is for me", even when they've never heard of you. 08:06-08:58
I8 Thumbnail and title work as a pair: the thumbnail sparks interest, the title promises the answer. They should never say the same thing. (Matches YT-C04.) 11:02-11:50
I9 Package around a problem lots of people recognise, in plain words, then let the video narrow down to your ideal customer. The right people stay; the rest leave, and that's fine. 13:53-14:31
I10 Business how-to videos reach a smaller crowd than entertainment. That's normal: you want the right viewers, not the most viewers. 12:01-13:20
I11 Teach what you know on a steady schedule, and go deep on one subject rather than wide across many. 20:33-21:32
I12 A click is a visit; a sign-up is a person. Give every video one next step, and count how many people take it. 22:52-23:31

Skipped (internal): AI-made thumbnails (clashes with our no-AI rule for Ty's videos and with what we sell); a Meta ad-AI aside (untested, off-topic); "any video could hit tens of millions of views" (hype, can't be promised); CPM dollar figures, lead counts and book revenue (unverifiable, not ours to repeat); his five-word "tension" list (his signature framing, so not reproduced); "go live on Zoom and broadcast to YouTube" (useful but off-brief, maybe for a later week); collaborators, the speaking business and productizing a service (not about YouTube channels).

3. The 7-day plan

Formats across the week: Reels = 3 with Ty on camera (Mon, Thu, Sat) + 4 motion graphics (Tue, Wed, Fri, Sun). Feed = 3 carousels (Tue, Fri, Sun), 2 single graphics (Mon, Thu), 1 text-led graphic (Wed), 1 real photo of Ty (Sat). Specs: Reels 9:16 1080×1920, captions burned in, text inside the safe zone (SV-B05). Feed 4:5 1080×1350. Stories 1080×1920. Every example is labelled "Example, not a client" on screen and in the caption. Example titles follow YT-C: sentence case, ≤ 60 characters, no "?" titles.

Day 1 (Mon): Start from what your viewer wants

Insights: I4 (main), I1. Link: free Kit, day1. Rhythm slot: Mistake + fix.

Feed (single graphic, 4:5). Two stacked title cards with a red ✕ and a green ✓:

Reel: Ty on camera (talking head, his real voice; no AI anything), ~30 s

Stories (3 frames)

  1. "Quick one. Which title would you click?" + Poll sticker: "My thoughts on the spring market" / "Selling this spring: what to fix before you list". Label: Example.
  2. "The second one names what you get. That's the whole trick." + Emoji slider "How often do you title from your own topic?"
  3. "Get 3 title options from your video, free." + Link sticker → Kit (story, day1).

Caption (feed; Reel uses the first 2 lines + CTA)

Your viewer isn't searching for your topic. They're searching for a result. Before you title your next video, finish this sentence: "After watching, you'll be able to…" Then put that in the title. Example above, not a client. Get three title options from your own video, free: [Kit link, day1] #YouTubeTips #SmallBusinessMarketing

Day 2 (Tue): The phone-size test

Insights: I6 (main), I2. Link: $47 pack, day2. Rhythm slot: Carousel checklist.

Feed: carousel, 6 slides

  1. "Your thumbnail looks great on your laptop. Now check it on a phone."
  2. "Many people browse YouTube on a phone, where your thumbnail is about the size of a stamp." (graphic: a thumbnail at real phone scale in a feed mockup)
  3. "Check 1: 3-4 words, max. If you need a sentence, it's a title."
  4. "Check 2: thick letters, strong contrast. Thin fonts and light-on-light disappear."
  5. "Check 3: one big face or one big object. Small details turn into mush."
  6. "Shrink it, squint, scroll past it. Still readable? Ship it." + CTA "Want thumbnails made for you? $47 Content Starter Pack." Label: "Examples, not clients."

Reel: motion graphics (text-led, licensed music + SFX, no voice), ~28 s

Stories (3 frames)

  1. Two tiny thumbnails side by side (labelled Example). "Which one can you actually read?" + Quiz sticker (A / B; the answer is B).
  2. "B. Fewer, thicker words. Shrink yours and check it today." + Question sticker "Send me your next thumbnail text and I'll say if it's too long."
  3. "Want 3 Shorts + thumbnails from one video? $47." + Link sticker → pack (story, day2).

Caption

Your thumbnail gets judged at the size of a stamp. Swipe for the 3-check phone test: few words, thick letters, one big subject. Examples, not clients. Want thumbnails made for you? The $47 Content Starter Pack includes them: [pack link, day2] #YouTubeThumbnails #VideoMarketing

Day 3 (Wed): Skip the thumbnail question, show the thing

Insights: I3 (main), I2. Link: $47 pack, day3. Rhythm slot: Demo of real work.

Feed: text-led graphic (4:5), big type on navy

Reel: motion graphics (rebuilt UI, cursor and zoom, per the product video standard), ~30 s

Stories (2 frames)

  1. "Behind the scenes: we rewrite thumbnail questions into specifics." + the before/after (labelled Example) + Poll sticker "Do your thumbnails use questions? Yes / Sometimes".
  2. "Send us one video. Get 3 Shorts + thumbnails back." + Link sticker → pack (story, day3).

Caption

If your thumbnail asks a question, your viewer has to guess the answer. Many won't bother. Show the specific problem instead, and let the title promise the fix. Example above, not a client. We make 3 Shorts + thumbnails from one of your videos for $47: [pack link, day3] #YouTubeThumbnails #ContentCreationTips

Day 4 (Thu): "Nobody knows me yet" (objection answered)

Insights: I7 (main), I8. Link: free Kit, day4. Rhythm slot: Objection answered.

Feed: single graphic (4:5), a "split" card

Reel: Ty on camera, ~35 s

Stories (3 frames)

  1. "Tuesday's quiz: most of you picked B. Fewer, thicker words win at phone size." (Fill in the real result on the day; if no votes, drop the "most of you" and just give the answer.)
  2. "Today: does your thumbnail repeat your title?" + Poll sticker "Yes, word for word / No, they're different".
  3. "Get 3 title options from your video, free." + Link sticker → Kit (story, day4).

Caption

No following yet? You don't need one for the right person to click. Name their exact situation. Let the thumbnail grab attention and the title make the promise, in different words. Example above, not a client. Free: three title options from your own video: [Kit link, day4] #YouTubeTips #SmallBusinessMarketing

Day 5 (Fri): Add tension, not tricks (before → after)

Insights: I5 (main), I9. Link: $47 pack, day5. Rhythm slot: Before → after.

Feed: carousel, 6 slides

  1. "3 ways to make a title worth a second look (no clickbait)."
  2. "1. A vs. B." Example: "Renting vs. buying in Elk Grove: the monthly math" (Example, not a client.)
  3. "2. The surprise." Example: "Leg day with no squat rack: 5 moves that still work" (Example, not a client.)
  4. "3. The belief, turned around." Example: "Busy isn't productive: a 3-question weekly check" (Example, not a client.)
  5. "The rule: only promise what your video actually delivers. Tension gets the click; the video has to earn the watch."
  6. "Hook wide, then go specific. Your ideal viewer will stay." + CTA "$47: one video → 3 Shorts, thumbnails, titles, description, chapters."

Reel: motion graphics before → after, ~30 s

Stories (3 frames)

  1. "Which one would you click?" Before/after from the Reel (Example) + Poll sticker "Before / After".
  2. "Which kind of tension fits your videos?" + Quiz-style poll with 3 options: "A vs. B / A surprise / A belief turned around".
  3. "Want this for your video?" + Link sticker → pack (story, day5).

Caption

A title needs one reason to look twice: a contrast, a surprise, or a belief turned around. Then the video has to deliver it. Swipe for 3 before → afters. Examples, not clients. Want this done on your next video? $47 Content Starter Pack: [pack link, day5] #VideoMarketing #ContentCreationTips

Day 6 (Sat): Built for Your Business: coaches and consultants

Insights: I10 (main), I12, I9. Link: free Kit, day6. Rhythm slot: Built for Your Business.

Feed: real photo of Ty at his desk/camera (no AI, no heavy retouch) + text overlay

Reel: Ty on camera, ~35 s (one-audience piece)

Stories (2 frames)

  1. "Coaches: what's the ONE next step in your videos?" + Question sticker.
  2. "No next step yet? Start with a clear description. Free Kit." + Link sticker → Kit (story, day6).

Caption

Coaches and consultants: your channel doesn't need the most viewers. It needs the right ones, and a clear next step for them. Three things to track instead of views:

  1. Sign-ups from your link
  2. Replies and DMs that mention a video
  3. Calls booked after watching Free: titles, description and chapters from your video: [Kit link, day6] #CoachingBusiness #YouTubeTips

Day 7 (Sun): One subject, four videos (light recap day)

Insights: I11 (main) + a recap of I2, I4, I6, I8. Link: free Kit, day7. Rhythm slot: none in the plan (see Decision 2).

Feed: carousel, 6 slides (the "save this" recap)

  1. "This week's YouTube checklist. Save it for your next upload."
  2. "Title: start from their result, not your topic."
  3. "Thumbnail: 3-4 thick words. Check it at phone size."
  4. "No questions. Show the specific problem."
  5. "Thumbnail grabs, title promises. Different words."
  6. "Every video gets one next step. Count who takes it." + CTA free Kit.

Reel: motion graphics, ~22 s

Stories (3 frames)

  1. "Week recap quiz: where should you check your thumbnail?" + Quiz sticker "Laptop / Phone / TV" (answer: Phone).
  2. "What's your next video about? Tell me and I'll suggest a title angle." + Question sticker.
  3. "Or get 3 title options yourself, free." + Link sticker → Kit (story, day7).

Caption

Pick one subject you know well. List four problems your viewers have with it. That's your next month of videos. Swipe for this week's checklist and save it for your next upload. Free: titles, description and chapters for each video: [Kit link, day7] #YouTubeTips #ContentCreationTips

5. Decisions for Ty

  1. Which week. Proposed: Mon Nov 16 – Sun Nov 22. That replaces the plan's Nov 16-21 slots (the "Episode 23" mistake Reel, the pick-3-moments demo, Etsy proof, CrossFit before/after, BFYB Coaches). The already-scheduled BFYB Podcasts carousel (Tue 11/17, 6 PM PT) stays in its own slot. Day 6 here could replace BFYB Coaches. Or run it as an extra week after Dec 1.
  2. Sunday. The plan rests on Sundays; this week posts a light recap on Day 7. Keep it, or drop Day 7 and move its carousel to the following Monday?
  3. Recording session. OK to record the 3 talking-head Reels (Mon/Thu/Sat) in one ~1-hour session?
  4. Instagram bio link. It still needs setting in the IG app, and we'd swap it daily to the day's tag (or keep one weekly tag on the bio and track days only through Stories and Facebook).
  5. Example names. The labelled examples use "Elk Grove" and "Dana". Swap them for your own local area or a neutral name if you prefer.
